About Us

As part of the education initiatives under its community partnerships program, Kabalikat sa Edukasyon, Smart Communications Inc.’s (SMART) Online Campus Journalism Program is a corporate advocacy that aims to promote creation of content by campus journalists through a multi-pronged approach.

First, the program will rely on partnerships with public high schools, colleges and universities, community newspapers and groups that promote user content generation and open source development.

Second, Smart, in cooperation with its media and community partners, will conduct trainings that contain modules on online journalism, and basic web and social media skills.

Third, through the program’s online platform, the journ.ph website, student journalists will be able to have their own online campus newspaper which they can post to and edit anytime and anywhere through Internet connection.

Through the Online Campus Journalism Program, Smart envisions to create an online network of journalists and campus publications.
